Karen B. McIntyre, R.N. is the president and co-founder of Assisted Senior
Placement Services, Inc. (ASPS). She obtained her Associate Degree in
Nursing in 1980 and her Bachelor of Science in Communication from
Kennesaw State University in 1995. Her nursing experience includes both the
hospital and home health setting. It was through her many years as a home
health nurse that she came to realize the frustration families experience when
faced with having to find the best care for their loved ones. Her love for the
elderly and her own family's experience with Alzheimer's sparked her interest in
starting an agency that could assist families with all needs related to seniors.
After working for years with indigent families, she wanted to have a policy of
never turning anyone down. This is the reason that ASPS does not charge
families, but rather the facilities.
Karen is a member of the Georgia Gerontology Society. She has had special
training in completing VA applications related to the Aid and Attendance
benefits and is a volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association.

Jay McIntyre is co-founder of Assisted Senior Placement Services, Inc.
Having spent twenty years in the corporate world and ten years as a private
business owner, he brings his business expertise to the company. He has
personal experience related to the elderly and their care needs. His mother
lived the last few years of her life with Alzheimer's, so he has firsthand
knowledge of what families go through in coping with that disease.
